Construction Manager Job Summary:
MGA Employee Services is seeking an experienced construction professional for a full-time position with a leading wireless telecommunications company in Pleasanton, CA. In this senior-level position, your responsibilities would include managing projects, facilities, and employees for Crown Castle International Corp. An ideal candidate would have experience relating to construction/modification of cell towers, DAS, or small cell projects, along with the associated inside & outside plant construction methods. You will:

  • Directly advise and influence decisions of District, Program, and Project Managers in all aspects of construction projects
  • Attend deployment and other customer meetings as the project subject matter expert
  • Make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walk, precon walk, in progress site visits, punch walks, and construction closeout
  • Understand prevailing rates for all construction work and ensure Crown Castle is receiving competitive rates for quality work
  • Negotiate costs within the scope of project and hold the vendor accountable to the agreed budget
  • Ensure managers and customers are aware of issues that will impact project completion or cost
  • Ensure all work is completed per the clients standards
  • Maintain necessary files/records for projects and ensure closeout documents are distributed per corporate and customer standards
  • Ensure compliance with Crowns safety program and related workmanship practices

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience related to telecommunications or wireless construction
  • Knowledge of outside plant construction techniques (aerial & underground)
  • Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for performing RF sweep test, OTDR, and Passive Intermodulation testing
  • Working knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards
  • Strong computer skills; MS Office and PM software knowledge
  • Project management experience including budget management, client coordination, and ability to troubleshoot and remedy project shortfalls
